Due to precipitation and potential  below-freezing temperatures in the early morning, the Fredericksburg Independent School District will operate on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Friday, January 10th. This means buses will run 2 hours later than normal, and all schools will begin instruction 2 hours behind schedule. Due to the 2-hour delay, breakfast will be limited.

If you need to drop off your child early, we will have minimal staff available to supervise students. Early drop-offs must be made at the front office of the campus.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the delay allows our bus drivers and school community time to assess road conditions before traveling. Safety is our top priority, and we want everyone to feel confident traveling to school. Please continue to monitor local media for updates regarding the winter weather forecast, and use caution if you are traveling during this time.

At this time, we do not anticipate any changes to tomorrow’s regular schedule. We will continue evaluating road conditions to ensure community safety. If changes are necessary, families will be notified by 5:00 a.m.

It is with a heavy heart that I write to you about the passing of Mrs. Hillary Rabke, a second-grade teacher at Fredericksburg Elementary School (FES). Mrs. Rabke’s dedication to education and her students was unparalleled, and her loss is deeply felt across our school district.

Mrs. Rabke was more than an educator; she was a mentor, a friend, and an inspiration to her colleagues and students alike. Her commitment to creating a nurturing environment made a lasting impact on countless young lives.
